House flipping is great if you need a career change or a side hustle. Imagine, you're tired of your current job and you need something that will keep you feeling full-filled. Not only do you get to nurture a project but you also get the ability to monetize it. 


What is house flipping? 

House flipping is the process of taking an outdated or run down home and renovating it with the goal of reselling for a profit. With the main goal being the profit. Always buying a house that is not worth very much, fixing it up, and selling it for a higher price, after increasing it's value. For example, there are many homes in the Houston area that need renovations or to be torn down and replaced. Home or land owners are selling these homes to house flippers in the industry. 

A hobby or a Full time job

An industry with ample opportunity. Depending on the area, profits can range from $10,000 to $60,000.  Repairs include repainting, deep cleaning, renovating kitchens, living rooms, backyard patios, adding a pool, renovating restrooms, expanding rooms upstairs or downstairs. This can cost you from $1,000 to $20,000 or more, so it is crucial for investors to choose their rehab home wisely!

On the other had

 some cons to house flipping is that it can be very risky business if you are uneducated on the subject. You can end up going into the negative instead of profiting. The best way to educate yourself is to watch videos based on this topic on youtube, networking with other house flippers, buying books and even going as far as getting a real estate license so you don't make costly mistakes.
